Miles' Handknit Sweater

Miles wore his handknit sweater for all of a few weeks. In true Georgia fashion, it started to get warm in February (2020) and even in the dead of winter, it was far too warm for wool.

I’m always surprised when a handknit actually fits because I’m not the best at swatching or measuring. Even as a (somewhat) experienced knitter, incorrect sizing still hasn’t taught me a lesson. I usually just go for it, especially if I’m using the yarn recommended in the pattern.

The pattern used is Tin Can Knits Flax Pattern in Brooklyn Tweed Arbor in Driftwood. I made a mistake and accidentally took the garter panel all the way down the sleeves, which I don’t mind. It’s an easy and fun pattern, and the yarn knit up beautifully.
